Envision 1.0 is Here: Real-Time Cinematic Visualization for Architects

It’s here! We’re excited to announce the official launch of Chaos Envision 1.0, a new real-time visualization platform built for immersive design storytelling and engaging presentations.

Envision is the perfect extension to your existing Enscape workflow, with powerful tools for animation, photorealistic rendering, real-time 3D assembly, and much more.

Powered by a high-fidelity ray tracing engine that can support trillions of polygons in real time, you can now create detail-heavy scenes without compromising performance or quality.

Impressive visuals and immersive presentations

Envision provides architects and designers with intuitive tools to create high-end visualizations and interactive presentations, ideal for internal design reviews, marketing presentations, or final client delivery.

With built-in features like one-click scene enhancements, push-button phasing, cinematic camera effects, and an AI-powered enhancer, even non-experts can polish scenes and boost realism with very little effort.

For those looking for full creative authority over the final look, that’s also possible, with advanced post-processing and rendering controls.

And with 360° panorama rendering, full-screen presentation mode, character animation, and support for canned animations, you can engage stakeholders in new ways and further elevate the storytelling experience.

"Envision is a powerful tool that has elevated my visualization workflow. Whether I’m working on small spaces like a powder room or large-scale commercial projects, it delivers stunning results with speed and ease. During the beta, I was impressed by how intuitive and reliable it felt—even my students quickly grasped the workflow and were blown away by the results they could achieve."

What to expect with Envision 1.0

Envision 1.0 comes with an impressive lineup of features and visualization possibilities. Here are five areas to explore first.

1. High-end visual realism

100% ray-tracing
You don’t get much real than this. Physically accurate lighting, reflections, shadows, and global illumination in both real-time and offline output.

One-click enhancements
Complex effects like rounded corners, fur, translucency, strands, displacement, and more can be added with a single click.

Cosmos Library
Ready-to-use 3D assets, HDR images, and materials optimized for rendering are included with Envision.

2. Cinematic storytelling

Easy animation
From cinematic fly-throughs and tracking shots to phasing, creating animations with film-like quality is fast and easy. No animation experience required.

Immersive environment
Combining volumetric effects, like fog, animated vegetation, and high-fidelity assets with dynamic camera controls can add depth, atmosphere, and spatial context.

4D humans and crowds
Hyperrealistic, AI-powered 4D and 3D people powered by Chaos Anima. They not only look realistic, but they move naturally as well.

3. Scaling scenes

Robust assembly
Assemble data from multiple sources via Chaos .vrscene or industry-common exchange formats and combine scene elements from various 3D creation tools with no data preparation or loss.

Real-time realism
Handle richly detailed scenes and manage intricate geometry, high-resolution content, and dense environments, while maintaining real-time performance and ray-traced quality.

Creative flexibility
As data is imported at the object level of granularity, you can adjust any aspect of your project without needing to pre-separate objects.

4. Design exploration

Unlimited variations
Define as many scene variations as needed to research various lighting scenarios, materials, object transformations, and visibility settings.

Interactive walkthroughs
Quickly animate transitions between versions to create immersive walkthroughs and over-the-shoulder presentations.

Object-level manipulation
Extensively customize materials, positioning, behaviors, and more with object-level manipulation of referenced scenes and included assets.

5. Smooth workflows and collaboration

Easy coordination (.vrscene)
Envision works well with Enscape, V-Ray, leading CAD tools, and can also import from DCC tools. Via the .vrscene format, Envision instantly loads complete scene data and supports all assets and materials.

Cloud Collaboration
Chaos Cloud is a cloud-based platform that streamlines communication, sharing, and presentation of architectural visualization projects. Collaborators can comment directly on visuals during design reviews, and it allows for immersive, interactive virtual tour generation.

Continuous design
Envision visualizations remain linked to the original scenes throughout the entire process, so they stay up to date, even as your design evolves. So as you make changes to geometry, materials, or layouts, Envision keeps up.

Learn Envision with Chaos Academy

Our first learning course is available on Chaos Academy. In this course, you’ll get Envision up and running, navigate the interface effortlessly, and harness its real-time animation features. You’ll learn to craft dynamic animations, produce stunning visuals, and share your work through impactful presentations.

Getting started with Envision

What’s coming next?

Of course, this is just version 1, and much more will come! Soon, Envision will expand its capabilities with dynamic traffic simulation, proximity-triggered interactions, realistic animated water materials, and automated render queues.

These additions will further reduce manual setup, increase realism, and ensure that even complex projects remain smooth, interactive, and visually consistent from start to finish.

We’d love to hear from you!
