Following on from the announcement that was made on Tuesday, January 11, in which Enscape and Chaos are to merge into one company, I’d like to answer some of your questions and share some additional information.
What is meant by the term 'merger'?
As stated in the January 11 announcement, Enscape and Chaos will merge and come together as one company. Chaos has not acquired Enscape, nor has Enscape acquired Chaos. We will create a newly-combined company in which both parties join as equal partners. We have decided to operate under the Chaos name, given its long history and strong brand within the industry.
Myself, Christian Lang, CEO of Enscape, and Peter Mitev, CEO of Chaos, will co-run the new company, with the headquarters situated in Karlsruhe, Germany – where Enscape is currently based.
The talented teams in all offices worldwide will continue to work in the newly-combined company, developing your favorite products as planned.
What does this mean for the future of Enscape?
Enscape will live as a product brand going forward. We are deeply committed to continue developing the Enscape product. We have big plans for Enscape’s future roadmap and will continue innovating, improving functionality, and the user experience. Right now, we are developing the next version of Enscape 3.3, and the first version of Enscape for Mac.
How will the merger benefit users?
By combining forces, Enscape and Chaos will leverage the power of our technologies and talented employees to provide you with solutions and services to help you better visualize your ideas and designs. The merger with Chaos will enable us to provide even better products in the future.
Will the merger affect the pricing of Enscape?
The pricing policy for the Enscape product is not impacted by this merger.
